Cancer and Aquarius Compatibility

Aquarius and Cancer will attract each other, since both are often looking for success in their partners. However, Aquarius is more often concerned with status, while Cancer is more focused on safety, which can lead to frustrations between the two. Cancer, as a Water sign, tends to be emotional and caring, while Aquarius – an Air sign – is more perceptive and intelligent. However, it's not good to bait either one – Cancer will react emotionally and Aquarius can go either hot or cold, causing some rather boisterous arguments play out.

Aquarius and Cancer are often at odds over past and future issues. Cancer has a tendency to live in the past, while Aquarius looks more towards the future. Aquarius is often concerned with finding solutions to the world's problems, but may forget Cancer's problems at the same time. The Good Side

When Cancer and Aquarius get together, there can be a real chance of love and marriage. Aquarius can be very affectionate and Cancer needs these reassurances of love and devotion to feel comfortable in a relationship. Aquarius, however, must be ready to settle down, which can often lead to problems. Cancer will require much of Aquarius, but if they can provide it, Cancer will be theirs forever.

Cancer can often have a stabilizing affect Aquarius, if they are ready to accept their guidance. Aquarius, on the other hand, can learn much from Cancer about expressing feelings and learning to value what they have in the here and now. The two signs provide each other with a strong, solid base, but there can be many pitfalls ahead.

Once Cancer is comfortable and realizes Aquarius will stick around, this can relieve much of the stress that Cancer carries. The two are often very passionate, but only after Cancer's many emotions are put at ease. Aquarius wants things new and exciting in the bedroom, while Cancer is more concerned with pleasing their partner and will usually oblige.

The Bad Side

Aquarius is often disturbed by Cancer's possessiveness. Aquarians are carefree and give affection freely, which may cause Cancer to feel rejected and neglected. Cancer has a tendency to cling and complain, stemming from their frequent need to have proof of Aquarius's love.

Another issue that can cause strife in the relationship is that Aquarius does not want to be tied down. Cancer often can't handle not knowing where the relationship stands at all times, causing Aquarius to feel too caged in to stick around. Aquarius often sees Cancer as being too emotional by requiring them to constantly reaffirm their love, which may cause Aquarius to leave the relationship.

Aquarius, while expressive and fun in the bedroom, is often likely to say the wrong thing to Cancer. This is usually not Aquarius's fault, but is often due to Cancer's surface emotions. If both signs can learn to compromise and Cancer can learn to trust, Aquarius will learn to express themselves and stick around. Communication, the great tool of every relationship, is truly imperative in this one.
