    Sagittarius and Cancer Compatibility

At first, Sagittarius will be intrigued by Cancer's sensuality, while Cancer craves security and stability from Sagittarius. This is where the problems will begin. Sagittarius will not be able to handle Cancer's moods or jealousy. Sagittarius is often blunt to the point of rudeness and this will hurt the sensitive Cancer at almost every turn. While not intentional, Cancer is will dwell on what is said and is likely to toss it up at Sagittarius when it suits their purpose.

While this zodiac pairing can be a strong friendship, it is unlikely to work for anything more. Cancer is too needy for Sagittarius, who cannot provide the security blanket that Cancer constantly needs. Sagittarius will eventually seek stimulation outside of the home, and Cancer will try to hold on even tighter. This pair is better suited to friendship or a business relationship; however, some of the same problems could have a negative impact here as well.

    The Good Part

Sagittarius is drawn to Cancer's romantic imagination. Sagittarius is adventuresome and very intellectual, while Cancer is cautious and very emotional. The positive note in this relationship is that Cancer can benefit a lot from Sagittarius's optimism and humor. Sagittarius in turn, can learn to accept their innermost feelings through Cancer's influence. This can be hard for Sagittarius to acknowledge, but it can go a long way in making the relationship work.

For this relationship to have a chance, Cancer will have to get involved in activities that interest Sagittarius. Cancer will have to learn to be a little more adventurous, while Sagittarius will have to learn to be more responsible and start staying at home with the family. This can be difficult, but not impossible if both are willing to work at it. And it will be work.

Sexually, Sagittarius may like the emotional connection to Cancer that bedroom activities may provide. Cancer, who aims to please, will provide Sagittarius with a very giving bed partner. However, the propensity towards boredom on Sagittarius' part is usually unavoidable, which can lead to problems in the long run.

    The Bad Part

Cancer's constant nagging can drive Sagittarius crazy. These two could not be more different when it comes to priorities. Cancer loves the home and home life, while Sagittarius loves adventure and never being tied down. Sagittarius is also likely to speak coldly and cruelly to Cancer, which can be devastating to their emotional well-being. While Sagittarius may not mean to hurt their Cancer, their straightforward manner will make it difficult for Cancer to overlook these remarks.

Cancer is very needy and wants constant reassurance of love and affection. Sagittarius, while very capable of giving this, may not be able to handle the constant worry of hurting Cancer's feelings. It can be difficult for Sagittarius to curb their tongue and Cancer unfortunately will bear the brunt of it.

Cancer may also be less able to sever ties to the past and this can cause problems as well. Sagittarius is always looking forward and leaves the past where they think it belongs. Unfortunately, Sagittarius often forgets the lessons learned in the past and is apt to repeat the same mistakes again, bringing this relationship to a grinding halt.
